Two awards for OPTIMAS young researchers by Friends of TU Kaiserslautern

On July 6, nine young researchers were awarded by the Friends (Freundeskreis) of the University of Kaiserslautern for their excellent PhD and master theses of 2016. Among others the two OPTIMAS researchers Dr. Anke Stamm and Dr. Christian Mücksch were awarded for their remarkable PhD theses and received 800 Euro prize money each.

Their supervisors Prof. Dr. Markus Gerhards and Prof. Dr. Herbert Urbassek presented the excellent work of the awardees in a brief presentation. Prof. Dr. Arnd Poetzsch-Heffter, vice president for research and technology, and Kurt Lechner, spokesperson of the Freundeskreis, also honored the awarded works during the ceremony. In total the Freundeskreis donated prize money of 6.000 Euro.
