Burkard Hillebrands awarded the 2026 Blaise Pascal Medal in Physics
OPTIMAS PI Prof. Dr. Burkard Hillebrands has been selected as the recipient of the 2026 Blaise Pascal Medal in Physics. This distinction recognises his outstanding contributions to modern magnetism, condensed matter physics, spin caloritronics, and magnon-related transport phenomena, as well as his exceptional scientific leadership and service to the international physics community.
The European Academy of Sciences established the Blaise Pascal Medal in 2003 to recognise outstanding and demonstrated personal contributions to science and technology and the promotion of excellence in research and education. The Blaise Pascal Medal in Physics is awarded annually to a single distinguished scientist. More information is available here.
