Intensive Week – “Observing and understanding coherent phenomena in multilevel atoms”
Topics of this technical training workshop will include
- Electromagnetically induced transparency in theory and experiment, and especially the question if EIT is a quantum effect or not
- Four wave mixing in theory and experiment - we will create blue light from infrared lasers via atom-light interaction
- Advanced laser spectroscopy methods
- Theoretical background of slow light, Raman processes and STIRAP
