Article on multiplexing and demultiplexing of OAM modes in optical fibers on the cover of Advanced Optical Materials
The article "Broadband mode division multiplexing of OAM-modes by a micro printed waveguide structure", published by Professor von Freymann (Department of Physics at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau and State Research Center OPTIMAS) and his coworker, is featured on the cover of the July issue of Advanced Optical Materials. The research topic is primarily around combining the idea of synthetic magnetic fields, as used in photonic quantum simulators, with a real "application", namely the multiplexing and demultiplexing of OAM modes in optical fibers.
