OPTIMAS PhD student joins Queen Mary University for research stay
The physicist Anna Altenhof from the research group interfaces, nano materials and biophysics of Prof. Dr. Christiane Ziegler recently joined the research group of Dr. Alan Drew at the Queen Mary University of London for a 2-months’ secondment.
In the Drew lab, Anna will work in the framework of organic spintronics, on fully functional spin valves and on the assembly of complete devices. The research stay will allow her to extend the portfolio of analytical methods, in particular such modern methods as myon spin rotation and neutron reflectivity. This will provide her with a new perspective on the materials of her PhD thesis work in Kaiserslautern.
The research stay is funded by the State Research Center OPTIMAS within the program “internationality and mobility”.
